HOUSE OF
PRATHA

Where provenance meets the present

About

A house built on the memory of making

House of Pratha is a heritage collective built on the belief that Indian craft, culture, and lineage deserve a contemporary home. One that spans verticals, crosses geographies, and honours the hands that shaped centuries of tradition.

The name draws from प्रथा: the way things are done, passed down, remembered. Not nostalgia. Something more alive than that.

Philosophy

Four principles that hold the house

01

Provenance

Every object, story and collaboration is traceable to its origin. Knowing where something comes from changes how it is received.

02

Continuity

Tradition is not a museum. It is a living practice. We work with makers who carry lineage forward, not preserve it in amber.

03

Movement

Indian craft deserves global audiences. We build bridges between ancient and contemporary, between local mastery and international reach.

04

Authorship

Every maker has a name. Every technique has a lineage. We centre the human hand behind the object. Not as backstory, but as the point.

Manifesto
"प्रथा is not memory. It is method.

The way knowledge travels through hands, across generations, and into the present. Refined, adapted, and carried forward with intention.

We do not preserve tradition. We practice it."
